Work of "Turboatom" is recommended for awarding the State Prize
According to results of voting, Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine in field of science and technology proposes to award the State Prize of Ukraine in field of science and technology 2018 to work of "Turboatom" on development of new generation of condensers for Ukrainian NPPs.
05 November 2018, meeting of the Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine in field of science and technology took place. At meeting, by voting, it was decided to recommend joint project of JSC "Turboatom" and NNEGC "Energoatom" for awarding of the State Prize in field of science and technology in 2018. Presented work is devoted to creation of condensers of new generation of "block-module" execution for 1000 MW turbine installations, which meet modern requirements for energy efficiency and reliability both for modernization of existing NPPs and for construction of new ones.
During development and implementation of the project complex scientific tasks were solved. In its solution were involved not only specialists of Turboatom, but also partners of the enterprise: Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems, Institute of Electric Welding named after E.O. Paton, as well as Energoatom, which is strategic customer and partner of Turboatom. Group of applicants for the award includes specialists of Turboatom, representatives of Energoatom and employees of mentioned institutes. It should also be noted that in addition to scientific problems, work takes into account world experience. In this case, compared with condensers created by different world manufacturers for other customers, solutions used by Turboatom are differing by its novelty. It consists not only in design of condenser, but also in many technological solutions.
