"Ukrhydroenergo" and "Turboatom" continue to work together on construction of Dniester HPSPP

PJSC "Ukrhydroenergo" is implementing construction project of Dniester Hydraulic Pumped Storage Power Plant consisting of seven hydraulic units, developed by PJSC "Ukrhydroproject", which implements Kharkiv plants "Turboatom" and "Electrovazhmash".

As for today, three hydraulic units have already been put into operation, the fourth hydraulic unit of JSC "Turboatom" shipped in November this year; it should be put into operation in early 2020. All design and construction work is carried out by Ukrainian companies, including "Turboatom", "Electrotyazhmash", "Ukrhydroproject", as well as other Ukrainian enterprises and scientific and design institutes.

According to information provided by PJSC "Ukrhydroenergo", company carries out measures to find ways to finance further construction of 5, 6 and 7 hydraulic units for the Dniester HPSPP.

Official website of "Ukrhydroenergo" company informed that on 8 November 2018, protocol on cooperation was signed between "Ukrhydroenergo" and Chinese National Electrical Engineering Company in construction of Dniester HPSPP, which states intention of two companies to implement joint ways for implementation of construction project.

One of the main requirements of "Ukrhydroenergo" in selection of general contractor is involvement of Ukrainian companies in implementation of the project.

For reference: Ukrhydroenergo has concluded contracts with Turboatom plant for the amount of about 5.5 billion hryivnas for the last two years. In 2018, payment for Turboatom will amount to 1 billion hryivnas.
