“Turboatom” handed over to the customer a guide vane for a hydro turbine type ПЛ-15- ГК-600 for Kaniv HPP (station No. 14).
The guide vane regulates the flow of water through the turbine, and also stops the access of water to the runner and the lower pool. Structurally, it is made conical type with 24 blades. The composition of the guide vane includes: outer and inner ring, adjusting ring, blades with swinging mechanisms, etc. The blades are controlled with the help of two servomotors through the swinging mechanisms of blades and the adjusting ring.
The rotation of the blades of guide vane is carried out synchronously with the rotation of blades of runner according to the gate-blade relationship, ensuring unstressed leak-in of the flow on the blades of runner and, as a consequence, the optimum efficiency of the turbine.
According to the contract signed in November 2016, the company will manufacture and supply 7 hydraulic turbines ПЛ-15-ГК-600 fully equipped for the reconstruction of two power units of Kaniv HPP.
This contract was the result of the first joint participation of JSC “Turboatom”, which was the general contractor, and its partners, SE “Plant Elektrotyazhmash” (supply of seven generators under a contract) and Consortium “SPA Ukrhydroenergobud” (supply of eight auxiliary systems of hydroelectric units and equipment installation supervision). The cooperation agreement between the partners was signed in October 2015. The contract is for several years, the final delivery date of all equipment is the end of May 2021.
The EBRD tender was held in two stages for three years. JSC “Turboatom” was able to defeat its competitors - the German consortium ANDRITZ HYDRO and the Chinese company Power China-Nari - in terms of price and quality.
