Equipment of "Turboatom" for Kremenchug Hydropower Plant will install PrJSC "Dnipro-Spetsgidroenergomontage"

General Director of JSC "Turboatom" Victor Subotin and Chairman of the Board of PrJSC "Dnipro-Spetsgidroenergomontage" Yuriy Kovalyov signed contractor`s agreement as part of contract implementation for rehabilitation of Kaplan type units at Kremenchug Hydropower Plant

According to agreement, "Dnipro-Spetsgidroenergomontage" will take arrangements for dismantling, installation of means of production, testing, commissioning, operational tests and industrial operation, completion and commissioning of means of production. Term of work implementation under agreement is more than 3 years.

According to V.Subotin, "Dnipro-Spetsgidroenergomontage" is long-time partner of "Turboatom". "We have successfully cooperated for many years. I am confident that together we will timely and efficiently perform work on Kremenchug Hydropower Plant," -plant's General Director noted.

In his turn, Yuriy Kovalev thanked "Turboatom", in particular, Victor Subotin, for choosing "Dnipro-Spetsgidroenergomontage" as a partner for installation of such unique equipment. "Contract we signed today for rehabilitation of two hydraulic units of Kremenchug HPP is very important for both of our enterprises. I hope that modernization of power plant will continue. And we, with our long-time partner "Turboatom", will continue to carry out work on its rehabilitation," – noted Yu. Kovalev.

Recall that contract "Rehabilitation of Kaplan type units at Kremenchug Hydropower Plant" was concluded between "Turboatom" and PJSC "Ukrhydroenergo" on 14 March 2019. As a result of contract implementation, main objectives of rehabilitation of 2 hydraulic units (st. Nos. 4, 5) of Kremenchug Hydropower Plant will be achieved, namely: improving operational reliability and extending service life of hydraulic units by 40 years, taking into account modern requirements of power grid; increase of degree of efficiency (DoE) and capacity of units with maximum head on 5.6 MW (2.8 MW x 2); replacement of outdated instrumentation; improving environmental safety; expansion of power control range of units.

Kremenchug Hydropower Plant is the third stage of HPP series on Dnipro and has been in operation since 1960. Power plant has 12 units with total (installed) capacity of 639 MW.
