Employees of "Turboatom" took part in International Marathon

14 April 2019, employees of JSC "Turboatom" took part in VI Kharkiv International Marathon.

On three distances – 1.6 km, 4.2 km and 10 km - 56 employees of the plant came to the start. Their colleagues turbine-constructors on distance of 1.6 km in men's run were defeated by: Vitaliy Saprunov, Vitaliy Kravchenko and Mykola Kalita, and women`s: Olga Yeremenko, Oksana Tatarinkova and Olena Krasnokutska (1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively). At the distance of 4.2 km, 1, 2 and 3 place among men took: Sergiy Savinkin, Sergiy Degtyarev, Olexandr Gurtoviy and among women the first who come to the finish was Katerina Zolotareva. Mykita Ilyushin came first at distance of 10 km. Their colleagues were supported by more than 120 fans.

In total, about 11 thousand athletes took part in trial, including Representatives from 18 countries: Germany, Kenya, Slovakia, Great Britain, Netherlands, France, Poland, Greece, USA, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Morocco, etc.

The first came Kenya athlete Kiruiy Robert Kipkoich. The 26-year-old marathoner ran distance for 2 hours 26 minutes and 26 seconds.

Kharkiv International Marathon is held annually, it is entered into the National Register of Records of Ukraine as the most massive trial by number of registered participants. Route through which marathon passes is laid down along the central streets of Kharkiv.
