Employees of “Turboatom” took part in an international scientific event

At the end of May 2019, turbine constructors took part in the XII International Youth Scientific and Technical Readings named after A.F. Mozhaisky, which took place in Primorsk (Ukraine).

The purpose of this event is to mobilize the creative potential of young engineers, to involve them in solving technical problems, to identify the best developments and then to introduce them into production.

JSC ”Turboatom” at the readings was represented by the head of the sector of the SDB “Turboatom” Riza Sherfedinov and deputy head of the design department of thermal and strength calculations of the SDB “Turboatom” Igor Palkov.

For a high scientific and technical level of development of the given report “Creating a working blade of the last stage of titanium alloy”, Riza Sherfedinov was awarded a Diploma of I degree. In this report, he, in particular, said that the design of the working blades of the last stages of powerful thermal turbines is based on thermogasdynamic calculations provided static and dynamic strength.

In turn, Igor Palkov gave a report on the topic: “The effect of creep on the strength of a lock joint of a group of steam turbine blades”. In it, he focused on the phenomenon of changes in time of deformations and stresses that occur during loading. In his work, Igor Palkov spoke about the method of processing and approximation of experimental creep curves presented in the literature. For his speech, he received a Letter of Recognition from the presidium of the event.

About a hundred specialists of enterprises of various specializations applied for participation in the conference.
