Equipment shipment for Zaporizhzhya NPP continues at “Turboatom”

In June 2019, JSC “Turboatom” plans to ship in full the equipment of power unit No. 2 of Zaporizhzhya NPP.

As of the beginning of June, Kharkiv enterprise has already shipped 6 modules of condenser case No. 2. Now the work continues on the next set of modules of condenser case No. 3: two modules are already filled with tubes, and the third module is at the production stage. Thus, the manufacture of the equipment of the specified case will be completed and shipped to 100%, and the order in production is closed with observance of contractual terms.

It is worth reminding that 6 modules of case No. 1 and 3 of case No. 2, hot wells, and parts were shipped to the station earlier.

Under the terms of the contract for Zaporizhzhya power plant, “Turboatom” will manufacture and supply a block-modular condenser with a stainless steel pipe system, which will replace the condenser with a pipe system of copper-nickel alloy of 1000 MW turbine K-1000-60/1500-2. The condenser has been in operation at unit No. 3 of NPP since 1986. The new equipment will allow the turbine unit to operate at rated power with changes in cooling water temperature, increase power and extend the operation life of the power unit.
