Employees of "Turboatom" received State Prizes

Deputy General Director Sergey Patsyuk, Deputy Chief Designer of Steam Turbines - Head of Department of Heat Exchangers Olexandr Uss and Head of Welding Department of JSC "Turboatom" Olexandr Vavilov on 5 June 2019, during solemn ceremony, received State Prizes of Ukraine in field of science and technology.

Prizes were presented by Minister of Education and Science Lilia Grynevych and President of the National Academy of Sciences Borys Paton.

Opening award ceremony, Boris Paton noted: "It is a holiday of honoring the best representatives of Ukrainian science and production ... Present here laureates of State Prize of Ukraine in field of science and technology, and Presidential Award for young scientists in 2018 continues, as their predecessors, to demonstrate modern achievements of Ukrainian science, its role in public life and place in the world".

Lilia Grynevych thanked laureates, as well as everyone, "who is involved in fact that prize has taken place and remains part of appreciation of great achievements of Ukrainian scientists." "Sincerely wish you do not stop in your creative scientific research, have a lot of strength, inspiration, health and opportunities to achieve new results," - minister said.

Recall that the decree No 110/2019 "On awarding of State Prize of Ukraine in field of science and technology in 2018" was signed by the President of Ukraine on 8 April 2019. State Prize of Ukraine for "Turboatom" employees was awarded for the work "Development and introduction of condensers of steam turbines of nuclear power plants", which was filed by SE NNEGC "Energoatom".

During ceremonial awarding, more than 200 best Ukrainian scientists received State Prizes in field of science and technology and the Presidential Award for Young Scientists in 2018 for advanced research and discoveries in medicine, astronomy, physics, energy, defense, ecology, agro-industry, etc.
