Excursions to museum of "Turboatom" are very popular among students and pupils of Kharkiv

Since beginning of 2019, museum of JSC "Turboatom" has been visited by 829 persons, mostly students of Kharkiv universities and pupils. In June, here came children from Kharkiv secondary schools No 54, No 69 and No 144. For comparison, for 5 months of previous year, museum was visited by 241 persons.

Museum of enterprise was created on 22 February 1969. At origins of museum foundation was Mykhailo Ivanovych Sittsevy. Much credit belongs to this energetic man who devoted a lot of years of his life to museum, painstakingly collecting interesting facts, documents and materials, updating it with new exhibits and stands.

Exposition of museum consists of operating models of steam turbines (K-220-44, K-300-240, K-1000-60/1500, K-1200-6,8/25), stand of blades of last stages of steam turbines, models of hydraulic turbines (РО 115-В-600, ПЛ 15-ГК-600, OРО 170-В-730, ПЛ-50-В-850, ПЛ 40/850, РО 170/662), models of runners of hydraulic units, disk and spherical hydraulic valves. On the walls there are information stands displaying history of development of turbine construction, historical path of "Turboatom" from time of its establishment to present day, as well as full cycle of production of steam and hydraulic turbines. Exposition of museum, thanks to visual and informative components, helps to comprehend difficult technological processes.
