In July of the current year, JSC “Turboatom” handed over to the customer the third of the seven guide vanes planned for the ПЛ-15-ГК-600 type turbine for Kaniv HPP (station No. 15).
Shipment of equipment to the station is scheduled for the end of this month. Work is also continuing on the equipment for the fourth hydraulic turbine. The plant specialists gave up functional tests of the runner to the representatives of the station. It is planned to start assembling the fourth guide vane at the end of August.
According to the contract signed in November 2016, the company will manufacture and supply 7 hydraulic turbines ПЛ 15-ГК-600 fully equipped for the reconstruction of two power units of the Kaniv HPP.
This contract was the result of the first joint participation of “Turboatom”, which was the general contractor, and its partners, SE “Plant “Electrotyazhmash” (supply of seven generators under the contract) and Consortium RDC “Ukrhydroenergostroy” (supply of eight auxiliary systems of hydrounits and installation of equipment under the contract). The cooperation agreement between the partners was signed in October 2015. The contract is for several years, the deadline for the delivery of all equipment is the end of May 2021.
The EBRD tender was held in two stages for three years. “Turboatom” in terms of price and quality won its competitors – the German consortium ANDRITZ HYDRO and the Chinese company Power China-Nari.
The guide vane regulates the flow of water through the turbine, and also stops the access of water to the runner and the downstream. Structurally, it is made of a conical type with 24 blades. The composition of the guide vane includes: outer and inner ring, regulating ring, blades with turning mechanisms, etc. The blades are controlled by two servomotors through the blades turning mechanisms and the adjustment ring.
The rotation of the blades of the guide vane is carried out synchronously with the rotation of the blades of the runner of the combinatorial dependence, ensuring shock-free leak-in of the flow on the blades of the runner and, as a consequence, the optimum efficiency of the turbine.
