At the end of July 2019, “Turboatom” shipped the upgraded equipment - blades of the guide vane - for the Dniester-1 HPP, station number 6.
Under a contract signed in August 2018, a Kharkiv company will repair the runner blading, as well as upgrade the guide vane with bearings with a modern composite coating and a new shaft seal.
The duties of “Turboatom” included design, installation supervision and field tests using the index method, scheduled for February 2020. The delivery time is September 2019.
Previously, the plant has already carried out modernization of hydraulic units at the station. In particular, the hydraulic unit No. 4 was modernized, which was launched in spring of 2012.
At all six hydraulic units of the Dniester-1 HPP, adjustable-blade hydraulic turbines with a capacity of 119.5 MW each with a diameter of 6 m runners manufactured by “Turboatom” were installed; they were supplied in the 1980s.
