The delegates of the international conference visited “Turboatom”

A delegation of participants of the International Conference “HSCI 2019” visited “Turboatom”, where they were introduced to the history and production capacities of the enterprise. The delegation included citizens of Portugal, Spain, Italy, Uruguay, Great Britain, Japan and India. The guests visited the museum of the plant and the assembly and testing workshop No. 73.

As Dmytro Nesterenko, Deputy General Director of the plant who accompanied the delegation noted, “Turboatom” is always open for visits. “Excursions around the plant are held almost weekly, we accept everyone: from schoolchildren to foreign delegations. I believe that we have something to show and something to be proud of.”

According to the guests, the production of such a scale struck them. Most of them are for the first time at such a powerful and world-famous enterprise. They also noted the professionalism of “Turboatom” employees who thoroughly know the history of their plant.

Let us recall that the exposition of the “Turboatom” museum consists of operating models of steam turbines (K-220-44, K-300-240, K-1000-60/1500, K-1200-6.8/25), a stand for the last stages blades of the steam turbines, models of hydraulic turbines (РО 115-В-600, ВЛ 15-ГК-600, OРО 170-В-730, ПЛ 50-В-850, ПЛ 40/850, РО170/662), models of runners of hydraulic units, disk and spherical hydraulic valves. On the walls there are information stands displaying the history of the development of turbine construction, the historical path of “Turboatom” from the time of its foundation to the present day, as well as the full production cycle of steam and hydraulic turbines. The exposition of the museum, thanks to clear and informative components, helps to comprehend difficult technological processes.

Museum working hours: Monday - Friday: from 08:00 to 16:30 (lunch break: from 12:00 to 12:30). Weekends: Saturday, Sunday.
