A runner is manufactured for Kaniv HPP

In September, “Turboatom” will ship another runner for a ПЛ-15-ГК-600 type hydro turbine for Kaniv HPP (station number 13).

In the presence of customer representatives, “Turboatom” specialists performed balancing of a adjustable-blade runner with a diameter of 6 m and the necessary tests. Now the equipment is at the packaging stage, after which it will be shipped to the station.

Also, a distributor, an oil receiver and servomotors are in operation. The term for manufacturing this equipment is September-October of the current year.

According to the contract with PrJSC “Ukrhydroenergo”, signed in November 2016, the company will manufacture and supply 7 fully-equipped hydro turbines ПЛ 15-ГК-600 for the reconstruction of two power units of Kaniv HPP.

After the reconstruction, the capacity of the hydraulic unit will increase from 19.2 MW to 23 MW, reliability and durability of the turbine will increase as well.

This contract was the result of the first joint participation of “Turboatom”, which was the general contractor, and its partners – SE “Plant “Elektrotyazhmash” (supply of seven generators under the contract) and the Consortium SPA “Ukrhydroenergostroy” (supply of eight auxiliary systems of hydraulic units and installation supervision under the contract). An agreement on cooperation between partners was signed in October 2015. The contract is expected for several years, the final delivery time for all equipment is the end of May 2021.

The EBRD money tender took place in two stages over three years. In terms of price and quality, “Turboatom” defeated its competitors – the German consortium ANDRITZ HYDRO and the Chinese company Power China-Nari.
