“Turboatom” continues to work on equipment for the Seredniodniprovska HPP

In the workshops of JSC “Turboatom”, work on equipment for the Seredniodniprovska HPP (station number 2) is continued. In particular, the representatives of PrJSC “Ukrhydroenergo”, as a customer, the specialists of “Turboatom” handed over the runner balancing. Functional tests will be conducted and passed at the end of the month. After that, the equipment will be ready for shipment to the station.

Also, in the workshops of the plant, work on the manufacture of parts of the distributer is underway; among the main positions: 32 blades of distributer, a regulating ring and servomotors. According to the contract, the products will be sent to the station in November of this year.

It is worth reminding that in June 2019, the procedure of coupling the shaft with the runner bush of the first of two hydraulic turbines was completed. Specialists of the enterprise carried out a control assembly of the equipment, during which joint boring of holes was carried out in the hub of the runner and shaft for the subsequent installation of bushings and bolts in them.

On November 22, 2017 JSC “Turboatom” and PrJSC “Ukrhydroenergo” signed a contract for the reconstruction of two hydraulic units (adjustable-blade turbines and generators) for the Seredniodniprovska HPP. The implementation of the contract is scheduled until September 2021. This will increase the capacity of “Ukrhydroenergo” hydropower plants, increase the volume of electric energy production, extend the life of HPP equipment, and strengthen the reliability of the country's energy system as a whole.
