In September 2019, specialists of JSC “Turboatom”, in the presence of customer representatives, PrJSC “Ukrhydroenergo”, performed functional tests of an adjustable-blade runner for Dniester-1 HPP, station number 6.
According to the test results, an act was signed stating that all parameters comply with the standards. The next stage is balancing the runner, after which, until the end of September, the equipment will be packed and sent to the station.
According to a contract signed in August 2018, a Kharkiv company repairs the blading of a runner, and also modernizes the distributer with bearings with a modern composite coating and a new shaft seal.
“Turboatom”'s responsibilities included design, installation supervision and field testing using the index method, scheduled for February 2020. The delivery time is September 2019.
Previously, the plant has already carried out modernization of hydraulic units at the station. In particular, the hydraulic unit No. 4 was modernized, which was commissioned in spring of 2012.
On all six hydraulic units of Dniester-1 HPP, adjustable-blade hydraulic turbines were installed with a capacity of 119.5 MW each and with a diameter of 6 m runners manufactured by “Turboatom”, which were delivered in the 1980s.
