At the beginning of October 2019, the specialists of JSC “Turboatom” have shipped the housing of the adjustable-blade runner for the Dniester-1 HPP, station No. 6.
Shipment of all remaining equipment is planned for the first decade of the current month. Thus, the order will be completely closed in production.
Under a contract signed in August 2018, a Kharkiv enterprise repairs the runner blading and also modernizes the distributer with bearings with a modern composite coating and a new shaft seal.
“Turboatom”'s responsibilities included design, installation supervision and field testing using the index method, scheduled for February 2020.
Previously, the plant has already carried out modernization of hydraulic units at the station. In particular, the hydraulic unit No. 4 was modernized, which was started up in spring of 2012.
At all six hydraulic units of the Dniester-1 HPP, adjustable-blade turbines manufactured by “Turboatom” were installed; they were supplied in the 1980s. The capacity of each hydraulic turbine is 119.5 MW; the diameter of the runners is 6 m.
