JSC “Turboatom” fulfilled its obligations in full under the contract for the supply of equipment to Metsamor (Armenian) NPP, which was concluded in March 2017.
According to the contract, “Turboatom” upgraded two K-220-44 turbines with a rated capacity of 220 MW each at power unit No. 2 of the nuclear power plant. To do this, the company manufactured and delivered to the nuclear power plant the upgraded cylinders of one turbine (TG-3) in May 2018, which was put into operation in November 2018, and also supplied the cylinders of the second turbine (TG-4) in November 2018.
On September 30, 2019, the Act on the installation supervision and maintenance supervision of the modernized K-220-44 turbine (TG-4) of Armenian NPP was signed, which was carried out from March 4 to September 30 of the current year. The signed Act indicates that the modernization of the TG-4 turbine and its installation supervision have been completed in full.
The Integrated Testing Act of the modernized TG-4 turbine was also signed, which established that the “Turboatom” equipment supplied under the contract dated March 23, 2017 underwent comprehensive testing from September 25 to 28 of the current year for 72 hours in accordance with the requirements of the “Acceptance Testing Program”. All parameters of the thermal-mechanical state of the modernized turbine correspond to the technical documentation of “Turboatom”.
Modernization made it possible to obtain a capacity gain, increase the overhaul period and extend the life of the turbines.
Thus, the contract for the modernization of the turbines of Armenian NPP was completed by “Turboatom” in full.
