The XVII International Scientific and Technical Conference is held in Kharkiv

8 October 2019, the XVII International Scientific and Technical Conference “Improvement of energy units by mathematical and physical modeling methods”, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of “Turboatom”, was started at JSC “Turboatom”.

More than 80 participants - representatives of science and technology from Kharkiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Mykolayiv, Lodz (Poland), Kaunas (Lithuania) were registered at plenary session.

Opening the conference, Director of A. Pidgorny Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems, NAS of Ukraine, Corresponding Member Andriy Rusanov read greeting from President of NAS of Ukraine, Academician Borys Paton.

Speakers at plenary meeting: Andriy Kostikov - Deputy Director of Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems, NASU, Vitaliy Dmytryk - Head of department of NTU “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, Olga Chernousenko - Head of department of NTU “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” In total, at conference it is scheduled to hear 83 reports on sections that are being held on 9 October at Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems.

Excursion to the factory museum, updated to the 85th anniversary of the enterprise, as well as a visit of main production workshops of “Turboatom”, was arranged for all participants of the conference. During visit of workshops guests got acquainted with production capabilities of enterprise; turbine equipment, which is at different stages of production for delivery to NPPs, TPPs, HPPs and HPSPPs; level and peculiarities of turbines manufacture technology, as well as works on modernization of factory machine tool fleet.
