Armenian NPP thanks “Turboatom”

Movses Vardanyan, General Director of CJSC “Armenian Nuclear Power Plant”, expressed his gratitude to Viktor Subotin, General Director of JSC “Turboatom”, for a set of works on the modernization of the K-220-44-1 turbine unit of NPP.

In particular, the letter says: “As part of the modernization of the Armenian NPP power unit, in November 2018 and September 2019, turbine unit No. 3 and No. 4 of power unit No. 2 were put into operation.

Note. In early October of this year, “Turboatom” fully fulfilled its obligations under the contract for the supply of equipment to the Metsamor (Armenian) NPP, which was concluded in March 2017.

According to the contract, “Turboatom” has modernized two K-220-44 turbines with a rated capacity of 220 MW each at power unit No. 2 of the nuclear power plant.

Modernization made it possible to obtain a power increase, increase the overhaul period and extend the life of the turbines.
