The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova Fayzullo Holboboiev visited JSC “Turboatom”, where he met and discussed with the General Director of the enterprise, Viktor Subotin, the prospects for cooperation and ways to develop hydropower engineering.
The Ambassador said that he had long wanted to inspect the enterprise and get acquainted with its management. “We have been working with “Turboatom” for a long time, up to 75% of the electricity generated by Tajikistan’s hydroelectric power plants is produced using equipment manufactured at “Turboatom”. We have great hopes that our cooperation will develop with the Kharkiv plants “Turboatom” and SE “Plant Electrotyazhmash”. I hope for soon new contracts”, – he stressed.
According to Viktor Subotin, the history of cooperation between “Turboatom” and Tajik HPPs has been going on for more than a decade and continues to this day. In particular, in the 1990s, the plant manufactured equipment for the Rogun HPP, including two radial-axis hydraulic turbines with a capacity of 200.0 MW with temporary runners with a diameter of 4.835 m; one ring valve with a diameter of 9.5 m; 6 sets of embedded parts of stage I. In 2012 - 2018, there was an additional delivery of equipment for hydraulic turbines with ring valves (stations No. 5 and No. 6). This year, for this HPP, “Turboatom” shipped the stator parts of the spiral chamber for unit No. 4 (station No. 3). At present, under the guidance of the supervising engineers of the enterprise, pre-commissioning works have been completed and hydraulic units Nos. 5 and 6 with temporary runners, which, with the existing pressure at the HPP, supply 100.0 MW of power to the network, each are put into operation. “We have experience, resources and opportunities, we are ready and want to continue our cooperation,” – Viktor Subotin emphasized.
