Work on equipment for the Kaniv HPP is continuing in the workshops of JSC “Turboatom”.
Now in production there is a runner for a hydraulic turbine ПЛ 15-ГК-600 (station number 18), the case and mechanisms of which are prepared for assembly. Work is also underway to modernize the parts of the distributer. Testing and delivery of runners to the customer’s representatives is scheduled for December this year.
Earlier, new and upgraded equipment for four hydraulic turbines (stations Nos. 13, 14, 15, 16) had already been sent to the station.
According to the contract signed with PrJSC “Ukrhydroenergo” in November 2016, the enterprise will manufacture and supply 7 full optional ПЛ 15-ГК-600 hydraulic turbines for the reconstruction of two power units of Kaniv HPP.
After the reconstruction, the capacity of the hydraulic unit will increase by 19.2 MW to 23 MW, and the reliability and durability of the turbine will also increase.
This contract was the result of the first joint participation of “Turboatom”, which was the general contractor, and its partners – SE “Plant Elektrotyazhmash” (supply of seven generators under the contract) and the Consortium “SPA Ukrhydroenergostroy” (supply of eight auxiliary systems of hydraulic units and installation supervision under the contract). The cooperation agreement between the partners was signed in October 2015. The contract is designed for several years; the final delivery date for all equipment is the end of May 2021.
