“In 2019, “Turboatom” paid a record amount of funds to the state – more than 1 billion UAH” – Viktor Subotin

“JSC “Turboatom” in 2019 paid a record amount of funds to the state – more than 1 billion UAH; this is, inter alia, income tax and dividends. We are proud of this,” – said Viktor Subotin, the General Director of the enterprise, during the celebration, which was held at the plant on the eve of the New Year.

He emphasized that this year “Turboatom” reached all the indicators provided for by the financial plan of the plant. The volume of sales amounted to more than 2 billion 800 million UAH, while the plant earned about 500 million UAH net profit.

Viktor Subotin noted that 2019 year was rich in important events – these are events on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the plant, the presentation of state awards to turbine builders. The management of the enterprise kept as much as possible and, moreover, raised social standards: wage growth amounted to 25%, the average salary reached 13 thousand UAH, and for industrial personnel more than 17 thousand UAH. “But the most important thing is that we have fully contracted and have orders for the coming 2020 year,” – the General Director emphasized.

He also recalled: the outgoing year is also significant because in the walls of the plant, in the presence of the country's management, a major contract for the reconstruction of Kremenchug HPP was signed together with the partner of the plant SE “Plant Electrotyazhmash”. This contract, like several others, is carried out at the expense of European banks – the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The first of 16 hydraulic units at Kyiv PSPP has already been put into operation. During December, 2 hydraulic units were commissioned at Kaniv HPP.

A breakthrough has also been made on steam and nuclear topics: this year, two 1GMWe reactor condensers were shipped by order of NNEGC “Energoatom”. In addition, 8 rows of titanium blades were manufactured and shipped to 1GMWe reactor turbines manufactured by “Power Machines” (Russia). That is, the plant continued to work in the direction of import substitution.

“The most important thing is that we signed an action plan for 5 years with “Energoatom” and now we have a planned load in this direction. Much has been done for our foreign partners: the unit at Kozloduy NPP (Bulgaria) has been commissioned and there is an agreement to modernize the next high-pressure cylinder. The turbine-generator unit of the joint production of “Turboatom” and “Elektrotyazhmash” was launched at Aksu power station (Kazakhstan) and there is an agreement on the manufacture of the next two blocks,” – Viktor Subotin said.

He thanked the whole team for their conscientious and professional work and wished the employees good health, peace and prosperity in 2020.

By tradition, the artists of the plant’s amateur studio under the name “All Ours” presented a concert to the staff of the enterprise.
