“Turboatom” celebrated its birthday

On January 21, 2020 JSC “Turboatom” celebrated its 86th anniversary since its founding. Solemn events were held with the participation of the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (KhRSA) Oleksiy Kucher and the Head of the Office of Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region Mykola Naidych.

Oleksiy Kucher noted that “Turboatom” and its products are well known not only in Ukraine, but also around the world, and wished the plant to increase success. “86 years for such a large enterprise is the age of a child. There is still so much to come. I wish you health, strength and confidence. I want you to enjoy your work. We really need you,” he stressed.

The head of the region presented awards to the employees of the enterprise. In particular, the KhRSA Certificate of Honor was awarded to: Deputy General Director Sergiy Patsiuk, head of workshop 72 Oleksandr Lomakin and chipper of workshop73 Oleksandr Kolienov. Gratitude from the chairman of KhRSA received: electric welder of workshop 83 Pavlo Vasylchenko, lead design engineer of SDB Turbohydromash Inessa Sosonna, turner of instrumental department Viacheslav Kornieyko and head of the SDB Turboatom Sergiy Smilianets.

The words of greeting were also expressed by the head of the OSSU in the Kharkiv region Mykola Naidych: “This is the first time I have welcomed such a large and respected work team. I am grateful to you for the contribution you make to the defense and security of our state. I sincerely thank you and bow low to you.”

In his greeting, Viktor Subotin, General Director of “Turboatom”, noted that the plant has the right to celebrate its next birthday with pride in the work done. “Turboatom” works stably. We have a portfolio of orders for 2 years in advance. Last year we worked with record profits, paid the state more than UAH 1 billion in dividends and taxes. At the same time, we increased salaries by 20%, we have a large social package. All this is our common merit: the regional administration, city hall, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine represented by the State Property Fund. We feel support, the opportunity to develop. Thanks to all of you,” Victor Subotin emphasized.

The General Director of SE “Plant Electrotyazhmash” Viktor Busko and Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Highway Service Yevgen Zrazhevets also were among the guests. They congratulated the plant’s staff, noting that “Turboatom” is primarily people who, through their daily work, create a positive image of Ukraine.

During the celebration, turbine builders were awarded the honourable distinctions of the Kharkiv Regional Council. Diplomas received: metalworker of mechanic assembling works of workshop 83 Oleksandr Shevchenko, head of the infrastructure and social policy department Yuriy Makarenko and turner of workshop 56 Ivan Chebotar. The following acknowledgments were awarded by the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council: casting technician of workshop Roman Ganshyn, head of sector SDB “Turboatom” Mykhailo Sergieiev, turner and borer of workshop 53 Sergiy Shamarin, and lead design engineer of SDB “Turbohydromash” Nadiia Iliichova,

The honorary diplomas of the executive committee of the Kharkiv City Council were received by: milling worker of workshop 55 Iryna Vorontsova, head of workshop 54 Oleksandr Ladygin, head of the information technology management bureau Yuri Musin, chopper of workshop 53 Roman Gnatko and chief power engineering specialist Oleksandr Volosnyk. Gratitude of the Kharkiv mayor were given to: electrician of workshop 67 Oleksandr Tsybulnyk, lathe turner of workshop 72 Artem Zbukar, head of the workshop 75, Konstiantyn Suchalkin, lead engineer of the department of the chief mechanic Lyudmila Taranova, deputy head of the workshop 81 Sergiy Naimushin and slinger of the workshop 73 Volodymyr Kharchenko.

In addition, 16 employees were awarded the title of “Honorary Turbine Builder”, the title “Veteran of Turboatom” was awarded to 14 people, 3 turbine builders were awarded the Merit badge, and two more received the title “Glory of Turboatom”. Diplomas and thanks were awarded to 224 factory workers.

The celebrations were continued by a festive concert prepared by the artists of the creative studio “All Ours”. Spectators have witnessed the first ever “Turbooscars” awarding ceremony. The awards were received by athletes, scientists, artists of the enterprise and, of course, the plant itself.
