The President of Ukraine presented the award to employee of “Turboatom”

In February took place ceremony of awarding of laureates of Prize of President of Ukraine for Young Scientists of 2019. The award was received from the hands of head of the state by engineer-technologist of the 1st category of welding department of JSC “Turboatom” Vitalii Sharii.

Award to Vitalii Sharii and his three colleagues were awarded for the work “Increasing life of welded joints of power equipment of modern TPP units” in December of the last year.

“I am pleased to award Ukrainian scientists with state awards today. I have repeatedly said and reiterated that the most valuable in Ukraine are our people. Their mind, talents, creativity and diligence. And this is what our scientists prove,” - said the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskii during the meeting.

The President's Prize for Young Scientists has been awarded since 2000 and is nominated by the President of Ukraine upon submission by the Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine in Science and Technology.

The Prize is awarded for outstanding scientific research that contributes to the further development of humanities, natural sciences and engineering, has a positive impact on social progress and affirms high authority of domestic science in the world. Persons awarded with the Prize are entitled Laureate of the Prize of President of Ukraine for Young Scientists and are awarded with certificate and honorary badge of established model.
