Works of “Turboatom” were included in the jubilee publication “State Prizes of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (a look at the fifty-year history)”

Last year, the Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine in the field of science and technology turned 50 years old. The publication of “State Prizes of Ukraine in the Field of Science and Technology (a look at the fifty-year history)”, Kyiv, 2020 is dedicated to this event, as well as the history of the development of Ukrainian science.

All this time, the chairman of the Committee is Academician Boris Yevgenovych Paton - an outstanding scientist, the first Hero of Ukraine, president of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Awarding of the State Prize is carried out by Decree of the President of Ukraine on the proposal of the Committee annually, according to the results of the competition of works.

For a 50-year period, from 1969 to 2019, 6967 people received the title of laureates of the State Prize of Ukraine.

In the publication, among 12 award-winning works with the generation of new ideas and with the achievement of practical results at the beginning of the 21st century, 2 works of JSC “Turboatom” are noted, namely: “New generation steam turbines with a capacity of 325 MW OJSC “Turboatom”, 2009, laureates V. G. Subotin, Ye.V. Levchenko, V.L. Shvetsov and “Development and implementation of condensers of steam turbines of nuclear power plants”, 2018, laureates S.T. Patsiuk, A.N. Uss, A.V. Vavilov.

The title of laureates of the prize has also recently been received by the plant’s specialists: in 2017, G.I. Ischenko and A.V. Lynnyk; in 2019 - Yu.G. Pashchenko, N.N. Gryshyn, A.G. Kantor.

In different years, totally 37 employees of “Turboatom” became laureates of the State Prize, of which 4 employees were awarded the title of laureate twice - A.A. Bugaiets, V.V. Ugolnykov, M.A. Virchenko, I.S. Veremeienko.

Since December 2019, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 945/2019, the Committee for State Prizes of Ukraine includes the General Director of JSC “Turboatom” V.G. Subotin. On behalf of the Committee V.G. Subotin presented the anniversary edition to the prize winners, who currently work at the enterprise.
