General Director of South Ukrainian NPP thanked “Turboatom” for turbine modernization

At the power unit No. 2 of South-Ukrainian NPP, the flow path of the high-pressure cylinder of the turbine was modernized in accordance with the project of JSC "Turboatom".

The contract for the manufacture and supply to South-Ukrainian NPP of a set of equipment for the modernization of the flow path of the HPC between JSC "Turboatom" and State Enterprise "NNEGC "Energoatom" was signed in February of this year.

South-Ukrainian NPP General Director Volodymyr Lisnichenko expressed gratitude to "Turboatom" General Director Viktor Subotin, designers, production personnel and enterprise managers in a letter sent to the plant for the high quality of the equipment set.

Based on information of South Ukraine NPP, according to the test results, it was established that the modernization of the HPC of the K-1000-60 / 1500-1 turbine unit led to an increase in the electrical capacity of power unit No. 2 by 20 MW. The indicated achieved increase in capacity significantly exceeds the obligations under the contract.

The workshops of “Turboatom” continue to manufacture equipment for the modernization of the flow path of the medium-pressure cylinder of the turbine unit No. 2 of South Ukraine NPP.

Such a large-scale modernization of turbines at Ukrainian NPPs is being performed for the first time.
