A work on equipment for Kaniv HPP is continued

A work on equipment for the hydraulic turbine ПЛ 15-ГК-600 (station No. 20) for Kaniv HPP is continued in the workshops of JSC “Turboatom”

Now in production there is a distributor, along which the hydro turbine workshop 83 completed the machining of the outer and inner rings for the assembly of the apparatus. The guide vanes are also prepared for assembly. Testing and delivery of the equipment to the customer's representatives are scheduled for the current month.

Also, work is underway on the production of the runner (station No. 19) - workshop 83 has begun its assembly and subsequent preparation for acceptance by the customer's representatives. In particular, the casing is already ready for assembly, and the mechanisms are undergoing final machining.

Earlier, new and modernized equipment for five hydraulic turbines was already sent to the station (station Nos. 13, 14, 15, 16, 18). On the sixth hydro turbine (station No. 20) it remains to send the distributor.

According to the contract signed with PJSC “Ukrhydroenergo” in November 2016, the company will manufacture and supply 7 hydraulic turbines ПЛ 15-ГК-600 in a complete set for the reconstruction of two power units of the Kaniv HPP.

After the reconstruction, the capacity of the hydroelectric unit will increase from 19.2 MW to 23 MW, and the reliability and durability of the turbine will also increase.

This contract was the result of the first joint participation of “Turboatom”, which acted as the general contractor, and its partners - SE “Plant “Electrotyazhmash” (supply of seven generators under the contract) and the Consortium “SPA Ukrhydroenergostroy” (supply of 8 auxiliary systems of hydroelectric units under the contract and installation supervision of equipment). The cooperation agreement between the partners was signed in October 2015. The contract is for several years, the final delivery date for all equipment is the end of May 2021.
