09.03.2021

In early March 2021, representatives of the Hungarian nuclear power plant “Paks” NPP visited “Turboatom”.

The delegation got acquainted with the work of the steam turbine, blade, assembly and test workshops and the workshop of mechanical assembly and welding production. The guests of the enterprise also visited the museum of the plant's history.

After getting acquainted with the production facilities of “Turboatom”, the parties discussed the current cooperation, as well as the prospects for its development.

Recently, “Turboatom” upgraded the high-pressure cylinder flow paths of eight K-220-44 turbines with a nominal capacity of 220 MW at all four units of “Paks” NPP. This modernization made it possible to increase the capacity gain, turnaround time and turbine service life.

"Paks" NPP is the only nuclear power plant in operation in Hungary. The plant is located 100 kilometers from Budapest, 5 kilometers from the town of Paks.
