On June 2, 2021, Viktor Subotin, within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Forum “Ukraine 30. Education and Science”, presented the flagship of the Ukrainian engineering industry “Turboatom” and spoke about cooperation with scientists.
Speaking to the audience of the All-Ukrainian Forum, Viktor Subotin said that “Turboatom” is a strategic enterprise in the energy industry, 75% of the total energy potential of Ukraine is our Kharkiv turbines at nuclear power plants, thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants. The annual volume of supplies of new equipment and modernization of equipment is in effect - it is more than UAH 3 billion here, in Ukraine,” – he said.
The General Director of “Turboatom” paid special attention to cooperation with scientific institutions of Ukraine. The creation of highly economical, reliable and competitive power equipment became possible thanks to constant, close and fruitful cooperation with the leading scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and universities in accordance with the general agreement signed in 2018 between “Turboatom” and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. “Scientists together with designers and technologists of enterprises create new samples of equipment, solve scientific and practical problems, and work for the final result – the embodiment of developments in production and operation. For this we are grateful to the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education,” – said the General Director of “Turboatom”.
Viktor Subotin noted that the scientific and technical achievements of “Turboatom” in the creation of power equipment over the past 12 years were marked by the Decrees of the President of Ukraine, which awarded 5 State Prizes in the field of science and technology, as well as 4 Prizes of the President of Ukraine for young scientists over the past 4 years, giving confidence in the future significant achievements of Ukraine until 2030 and for the future.
Regarding promising projects with the involvement of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Viktor Subotin highlighted the participation of the enterprise in the manufacture of containers for CSFSF, the manufacture of turbines and generators for small modular reactors and the manufacture of NPP reactor vessels together with EMSS (Kramatorsk).
“Over the past 15 years, we have invested USD 70 million of our own funds in the development of technological and scientific developments. This allowed us to do everything that I said earlier. And we are not going to stop there,” – added Viktor Subotin at last.
