“Turboatom” appealed to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal

09.07.2021

On July 8, 2021 JSC “Turboatom” appealed to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal with a request to facilitate the solution of difficult financial relations between two Ukrainian companies that ensure the security and independence of the energy system of Ukraine: JSC “Turboatom” and SE “NNEGC “Energoatom”.

The letter says about the debt of SE “NNEGC “Energoatom” JSC “Turboatom” in this connection, the Kharkiv enterprise is forced to start claim work regarding debts under contracts with SE “NNEGC “Energoatom”.

As of July 8, 2021, between JSC “Turboatom” and SE “NNEGC “Energoatom” it is signed contracts for almost 3 billion UAH, it is shipped products for more than 2.2 billion UAH, the debt to JSC “Turboatom” under the terms of the existing contracts is 937 million UAH, of which 685 million UAH is debt, which has been dragging on for the second year.

Due to the critical level of accounts receivable, the enterprise is unable to pay wages and pay taxes to the state and the city, purchase blanks and materials for the timely manufacture of products, as well as urgently ship the manufactured condenser modules for unit 5 of Zaporizhzhya NPP in the amount of 66, 0 million UAH

We are forced to note that our repeated appeals to the management of SE “NNEGC “Energoatom” with a request to gradually pay off the existing debt did not yield significant results, as evidenced by the total payment during 2021 in the amount of only 95.0 million UAH. It should be noted that during the same period, “Turboatom” shipped equipment NPP in the amount of over 368 million UAH.

The proposal of the enterprise to sign a real schedule of debt repayment in the period up to the 1st quarter 2023 was also not supported by SE “NNEGC “Energoatom”.
