The jubilee X Sport contest took place at the sports complex “Turbinist”
On the eve of the Day of Machine Builders of Ukraine, on Saturday, September 11, at the sports complex “Turbinist”, the tenth anniversary Sport contest dedicated to the professional holiday took place.
This year the traditional sports festival gathered about 1500 participants. For the first time, representatives of six enterprises of Kharkiv region took part in the competition: JSC “Turboatom”, JSC “Electrotyazhmash”, SE “Plant named after Malyshev”, SE “Kharkiv Design Bureau of Engineering named after Morozov”, JSC “KhMBP “Svet Shakhtyora”, PJSC “FED”.
As in the last year, the Sport contest was opened by the artists of the creative studio "All ours" with the performance of the national anthem of Ukraine and an incendiary dance flash mob, which was organized and performed by representatives of different workshops and departments.
At the beginning of the event, Viktor Subotin, the General Director of JSC “Turboatom”, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He congratulated all colleagues on their professional holiday: “Today, at the “Turbinist” stadium, we have gathered machine builders from six enterprises that work and glorify Kharkiv region and Ukraine on international industrial markets.
This holiday did not start at the stadium, because we have close cooperation with our colleagues in the workshops. The collectives of our enterprises live as one big business team. The result of industrial and technological communication is clearly visible at today's sports festival. At this stadium, we will demonstrate the unity and dedication to traditions that were laid down by generations of Kharkiv machine builders."
The next floor was given to the People's Deputy of Ukraine Victoria Kinzburska, who thanked all machine builders for the work. “Our country will be able to live without politicians, but it will never live without you, people of the profession - engineers, workers at machine tools, designers, crane operators. You have wonderful teams, great mood, you have the strength to go in for sports, and this is great. There can only be support from our side.
Now two plants are being merged – “Turboatom” and “Electrotyazhmash”. There are certain concerns about this, but we keep our finger on the pulse, deal with all organizational issues and are ready to support you.” Victoria Kinzburska presented the Gratitude of the Verkhovna Rada Committee to two turbine builders – Deputy General Director Oleksii Budarin and Head of the Labor Organization and Wages Department Viktor Belov.
Acting Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleksandr Skakun noted the Kharkiv region as one of the most sporting regions of Ukraine. “Today is a very powerful event. Six of our industrial giants have gathered to compete not only in the workshops of the factories, but also on the sports ground in a friendly, sporty atmosphere. It is very good that the teams are becoming even friendlier.”
Tetiana Yegorova-Lutsenko, Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council, also supported the idea of holding such a sporting event. “It is very joyful to see industrialists here, people who are not only professionals in their field, but also devote their lives to sports, maintaining a sports spirit. I would like to thank Viktor Subotin, directors and teams of all participating enterprises."
In turn, the secretary of the Kharkiv City Council Igor Terekhov noted that Kharkiv is the largest machine-building center in the country. “When they talk about Kharkiv, they always remember “Turboatom”, “Electrotyazhmash”, “FED”, “DB named after Morozov”, “Plant named after Malyshev”, “Svet Shahtyora”. This is the elite of industrial production in Ukraine. You cooperate when you need to produce products. And you compete in a good way when you enter the stadium.
A city is strong when its industrial enterprises are strong. And industry is strong when labor collectives are strong. The Sports contest is a process of competition that unites people, and work requires unanimity. It is very significant that you are here together today. I am grateful to the directors of enterprises for this event”. After that Igor Terekhov presented the representatives of six enterprises with the Gratitude of the Kharkiv City Council.
This year's Sports contest program includes such sports: athletics, table tennis, checkers, chess, arm wrestling, kettlebell lifting, football, streetball, tug of war and beach volleyball.
Traditionally, in parallel with the adult Sports contest, a holiday was organized for children of turbine builders. A large outdoor play area was created for young visitors to the sporting event. Here children could draw, create crafts from plasticine. As in previous years, children, at their request, were applied face painting. After the creative work, the children were in for a delicious surprise – “cotton candy”, which was prepared right next to the children's creative zone.
An interesting final chord of the sporting event was a tug of war among fans. In a fierce struggle, workshop No. 73 celebrated the victory for the second time. It is worth noting the teams of HR department and financial department, the teams of which consisted of women. Nevertheless, they demonstrated an extraordinary will to win and willpower.
They did not forget about the drawing of prizes in the lottery, which was held for the third time this year. The winners received soccer balls and other valuable gifts.
According to the results of all competitions, the team of “Turboatom” won the overall team classification. The second place was taken by the plant “Svet Shakhtyora”, the third - by representatives of “DB named after Morozov”.
The best team of fans was also chosen – the fans of “Svet Shakhtyora” who received prizes.
