On October 26, 2021, the Committee for State Prizes of Ukraine in the field of science and technology completed the consideration of works submitted in 2021 for the State Prizes of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (National Prize of Ukraine named after Boris Paton) and the Prize of the President of Ukraine for young scientists in 2021. Among those recommended by the Committee for the awarding of prizes there are six turbine builders of JSC “Ukrenergymachines”.
The work “Creation of highly economic hydroelectric units for hydroelectric power plants of Ukraine” was recommended for the award of the National Prize of Ukraine named after Boris Paton, the authors of which, together with colleagues from partner organizations, are:
BURAKOV Oleksandr Sergiiovych - Deputy General Designer of JSC “Ukrenergymachines”;
YEFIMENKO Viktor Mykolaiovych - First Deputy Chief Designer of Hydraulic Turbines of JSC “Ukrenergymachines”;
KORSHUNOV Oleksii Olegovych - Deputy General Director of JSC “Ukrenergymachines”;
The committee also proposes to award the prize of the President of Ukraine for young scientists for the work “Optimization of flow paths of powerful steam turbines for thermal power plants and nuclear power plants”, the authors of which are:
PALKOV Igor Andriiovych - candidate of technical sciences, deputy chief designer of steam turbines of JSC “Ukrenergymachines”;
PALKOV Sergii Andriiovych - candidate of technical sciences, head of the sector of JSC “Ukrenergymachines”;
ISHCHENKO Oleg Igorovych - leading designer of JSC “Ukrenergymachines”.
The decision to award prizes is made by the Decree of the President of Ukraine.
