“Ukrenergymachines” shipped the equipment for Ukrainian hydro power plants

In April, “Ukrenergymachines” JSC shipped the equipment for Seredniodniprovska and Kaniv HPPs. These projects are being implemented in accordance with agreements with PJSC “Ukrhydroenergo” and credit funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The generator shaft, rotor poles and frame were manufactured and shipped for Seredniodniprovska HPP. The generator stator parts were manufactured and shipped for Kaniv HPP. According to the terms of the contract, the amount of shipped equipment is 57 348 thousand UAH.

In 2011, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), at the request of “Ukrhydroenergo”, provided a loan in the total amount of 400 million EUR for the implementation of the Project for the reconstruction of hydro power plants in Ukraine, including 7 units of Kaniv HPP, 3 units of Kyiv PSPP, 2 units of Kremenchuk HPP, 2 units of Seredniodniprovska HPP and 2 units of Dnipro HPP.

According to the terms of the loan, international competitive bidding was held, in which “Ukrenergymachines” JSC (“Turboatom” and “Electrotyazhmash”) gained a victory over such manufacturers as Andritz Hydro (Germany), VoithHydroGmbH (Austria), POWERCHINA (China).
