On June 10, 2022, “Ukrainian Energy Machines” JSC shipped six traction electric motors for the Polish railway company NEWAG SA.
The contract for the manufacture and supply of electric motors of the ED118AU1 type for diesel locomotives and electric locomotives was concluded in May 2022.
According to Andrii Zalata, Chief Designer for electric traction equipment, the new electric motors were made for the modernization of traction electrical equipment of European railways. This modernization and repair of locomotives is carried out at the Polish company NEWAG.
He also noted that in the future it is planned to expand the specification of traction electrical equipment, which will be used in the modernization of locomotives or the manufacture of new ones.
“At this difficult time, the enterprise “Ukrainian Energy Machines” continues to work on fulfillment of orders to improve the economic security of the region and the country as a whole,” – Andriy Zalata emphasized.
In 2022, “Ukrenergymachines” plans to manufacture and supply up to 300 electric motors.
