The guests of the enterprise visited hydroturbine workshop 83, where they got acquainted with the production process.
During the visit, Andriy Gerus, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine committee on energy, housing and public utility services, noted that the work of the enterprise is extremely important for ensuring the energy security of the state.
“The impressions after visiting the enterprise are good. Kharkiv is a front-line city, the situation in which is not easy. Today we heard information that 70% of the business is not working, but the plant has energy (literally and figuratively), a desire to work, and achievements. It is clear that the management and the team can and wants to work. This looks optimistic. I think that such enterprises should be supported, especially now. We will do everything possible so that the products of the enterprise find their consumers. And we must understand that every megawatt of electricity is a huge need, so the ability to manufacture, supply, install equipment that can help to solve the problem of electricity shortage is extremely important, although the work of the “Ukrenergymachines” team was appreciated both in Ukraine and on world markets, to make efforts so that the plant's products have a fair assessment," Andriy Gerus said.
Member of the Committee Oleksiy Krasov spoke about the need to support such strategically important enterprises as “Ukrenergymachines”: “On the part of the state, we must create all conditions for our enterprises to receive orders and work even in the most difficult conditions. Such as are now prevailing in Kharkiv. But the plant operates and produces products that are important for Ukraine against the backdrop of enemy attacks on critical infrastructure.
The state should be interested in such enterprises as “Ukrenergymachines” and do everything possible to ensure that their products are delivered to their destination. As a member of the Energy Committee, I believe that “Energoatom” should pay special attention to the products of “Ukrenergymachines”, since now we have an energy crisis that needs to be overcome as soon as possible.”
General Director of “Ukrenergymachines” JSC Viktor Subotin thanked the people's deputies for the attention paid to the enterprise. “Today's visit is a landmark event for “Ukrenergymachines”, as for the first time in the recent history of the enterprise; we were visited by the Verkhovna Rada energy committee. This is very important for us, because we see the interest of people's deputies and the state in our work. We acquainted the delegation with the current contracts of the enterprise, plans for the next year and reported on the existing problems, which the state can help with the solution,” Viktor Subotin said.
