In September 1984 in a picturesque location on the shore of the Saltovskiy reservoir was opened plant sanatorium "Blue Bay".

At the time of the opening of the sanatorium, being equipped with modern equipment, gave the possibility to improve the health after working day.

However, the collapse of the USSR and the transition to market relations made the company's management to seek other uses of a sanatorium, containing of which in material way has not been possible.

Today, sports and health base by its popularity and comfort is one of the best resorts of Slobozhanshchina.

In 2010 was made a large volume of work, starting from repair in the body and finishing with the beach arrangement and the base territory.

In 2011, the three-floors building base "Blue Bay" has been renovated, equipped with new furniture, equipment. It was built a new summer shower on the beach. For those who like barbecue has been rebuilt new barbecue, in which were set new gazebos and barbecues. Also it has been constructed a new dance floor, around which the lawns and flower beds, planted with flowers and young trees. It was installed new entrance gates. On the route Kharkov - Volchansk, in 300 m from the base has been set a new information board.

In 2012, the leisure facilities of plant workers have been greatly improved. It was carried out the current repair in the rooms and other areas of housing. Near the beach, for the convenience of the visitors were put into operation a new toilet, a new medical center and a new buffet. Next to the dance floor was placed fountain, near which was installed a new decoration with a stork nest.  New fungi were constructed and installed on a beach. The works were made for cleaning of the bottom layer and resettlement of the beach.

For the services of those who like and a beach holiday and clean water, smooth sandy bottom, new beds and trestle, ten swings. For children up to 10 years was set the pool. For those who like water trips and fishing are available swimming facilities - boats and hydro cycles.

To the beach you will go on a new path through the woods. Along it from one hand were installed lights and oak benches, and on the other hand was planted flower bed.

For those who have a rest in rooms has been installed refrigerators and TVs. Hot water is provided three times a day.

At the recreation center there is a large sports hall, in which there is a lot different in their loads exercise equipment with the help of which you can easily lose weight.

The big success among vacationers is table tennis, billiards, windsurfing. At the base territory are located: a football field, volleyball and basketball courts, playgrounds in badminton and beach football, as well as children’s sports playgrounds. For the smallest are installed playground with a sandbox and swings.

At the recreation center always resides an instructor on physical training, constantly work two sailors – rescue, 24 hours there is a medical professional on the base.

Do not forget here and about the cultural program. On the basis there is always the instructor on the cultural work, which organizes various competitions, quizzes and other fun activities, each day holds discos and "karaoke". With interesting concerts in the "Blue Bay" almost weekly come amateur participants of the enterprise. For vacationers there is a library.

During the existence of a sports base here hosted more than 12,000 turbine constructors.

In 2021, in the sports and recreation base "Blue Bay" was visited by 717 people, in 2012 - 888, in 2013 - 635 persons.
